«Warhol» that you see here is in its poster form (many more forms available) and it is now available at Pixels (a Fine Art America subsidiary) through my gallery. This is the only company that I have trusted with my images to create fine art prints of high quality. Pixels handles the entire transaction and ships quickly. Check out my gallery often as I change the images frequently to keep things exclusive and fresh.

So this is the Euro-Ku
Well, a traditional Haiku it is not… It is hybrid, like all of us in the Western World. We are perhaps not as deep or as spiritual as the Japanese who invented the original poem that we know as the “Haiku”. Those are structured rigorously. They are short poems that speak of the impression caused by contemplation of nature or of daily life. They are written in three lines, the first containing five syllables, the second one seven and the third one five. We were not put in the Western World to live as if we were Orientals. It’s impossible no matter how many Yoga classes we take or how much we engage in Tai-Chi or Qi-Gong. However, we do admire and learn from our brothers of the East. Then, our attempts at creating Haikus…which are a very powerful way to express ideas…should not reflect the values or literary traditions of that ancient culture. On the contrary, it should reflect the Greco-Roman culture that has nourished us but not in its classical splendour, instead in its contemporary manifestation and colour. It should be filled with our present-day madness and our psychedelic-surrealistic paranoia. The Euro-Ku will still be a poem limited to three verses, but there are no other rules, except that there should be some degrees of consistency as well as coherence in the purpose and the meaning, i.e. the words used and the message transmitted. Although it need not rhyme or flow, the words should be as easy to understand as the lyrics of a popular tune.
Here is Number One…

The sky dips carefully, his index finger melts the ice,
and makes the waters warm and blue,
but fear keeps ducks on the cold white ice, as it does you..

OMNIA CAELUM STUDIOS MIAMI – PRIMERA PARTE/PART ONE

Well, Omnia Caelum Studios Miami didn’t open until the summer of 2003. That fall, I travelled to Turkey, where I was invited to exhibit at a famous gallery in Istanbul called PG Art, and it went very well. From that exhibition onwards, my professional career in art began to grow and expand. I returned to the USA where I had exhibitions in New York and several cities in Florida. Then, in 2008, I participated in Art Basel Miami Beach through a Miami gallery. I became a permanent artist at «The Gallery,» the art museum of the University of Miami, where I also served on the board of directors. And so, I continued to develop as an artist, never ceasing to study, search, and, above all, work… I have often said that art is a search, but it’s also hard work… Omnia Caelum Studios Miami lasted until 2018, and starting in 2019, it became Omnia Caelum Studios Valencia… STAY TUNED FOR PART TWO…

Siguenos – Follow us – Siguenos – Follow us – Siguenos – Follow us

Once again, thinking about art, human creativity and the unique way we artists have to express ideas, emotions, and images, I am left without a conclusive thought. Yet thoughts of what I believe is not art keep popping up. I am convinced that art is neither intuitive, spontaneous, frivolous, or something that everyone can do. Art is visual philosophy, and the artist has to be a philosopher. Because art is a very particular way of seeing the world and of approaching spirituality, the artist has to be able to communicate all of this, which he has learned from the wisdom that God has spread all over the earth, in his work. Art is also one of the most powerful weapons in the human arsenal. If used correctly and altruistically, it is perfect for fighting mediocrity and the ill will that is turning us, as humanity, into idiots. And I keep thinking, hoping that another thought as brilliant and genius as this one will come to me and make me even more of a philosopher, more of an artist, and perhaps even more of a wise man.

You cannot organise until you’ve realised your life is lived in pure disorder… every painting is a philosophical statement for the eyes and through the eyes the message reaches your spirits where it communes in harmony and as a result, understanding emerges…
