RESOLUTIONS…and wishes…FOR 2023

NO! to AI generated images! Art is strictly a human effort resulting from the «search» and done with creative talent that only a human being can have. A machine, sans soul, spirit, energy, cannot generate anything that can, or should, be called art. I think that programmes like those that generate AI images can be used by artists/designers as a tool, just like we use a photographic camera or other such similar machines.

NO! To «inclusive» language! What is this! We used to enjoy FREEDOM OF SPEECH! And now we are being re-taught so that we can speak like idiots! Why be repetitive! If I say all actors I mean male and female! So to now be forced to say «actors» and «actresses» is confounding! Language has never been a discriminatory factor, unless it is to degrade or to offend, and I am not in favour of offending or of degrading anybody. But equality is not gained with ridiculous things like these, it is gained by fighting for it, demanding it and then protecting it with respect and knowledge.

NO! To the lack of discipline, education, respect and culture seen…and suffered…everywhere nowadays! It is about time that our society…societies…return to basics. And the most basic thing that a society can proffer upon their young is a sound education. But education begins at home and if parents do not educate then who will? We must instil in our young ones a sense of identity, a sense of pride and a sense of decency, respect for elders and respect for themselves in every manner and way. Enough of granting rights without demanding duties.

Digo NO al arte generado por la inteligencia artificial porque no es arte. El arte es el resultado de la búsqueda y de la creatividad y el talento humano. Una maquina no puede suplantar la mente humana y por ende no puede hacer arte. Si digo que se usen los programas de IA como herramientas, como usaría uno una cámara fotográfica u otro aparato que sirva para ayudar al artista, pero no para generar una obra.

Digo NO a las gilipolleces como eso de tener que decir «nosotros» y «nosotras» o a feminizar palabras que siempre han sido masculinas. Si voy a hablar de «cocineros» no hay que decir «cocineros y cocineras» y si dices «cocineras» se entiende que hablas de un grupo compuesto enteramente de féminas. Venga, basta ya de quererle buscar tres pies al gato.

Digo NO a las faltas de conducta, de respeto, de disciplina que tanto estamos viendo…y sufriendo…por doquier. Es hora que se vuelva a la educación de siempre y de toda la vida. Además hay volver a la época cuando teníamos buen gusto al vestir, al peinarnos y al calzar. Así que os ruego, educad a vuestros hijos, no dejéis que los eduque el sistema porque el mismo está podrido.

Digo NO a esa mala costumbre de insultar llamándole «fachas» o «ultras» a personas que no estén de acuerdo con nuestra posición política. Vamos, que los progresistas no son todos de la izquierda y añado que ser de derechas o de izquierda no importa para nada. Todos queremos un mundo en paz.

It was an exiting year, one could say the first «normal» year after the pandemic. And although there were many natural disasters all over the world, there were many good things I am sure you will recognise in your own life. I know that the year is still not over and I can only pray and hope that all goes well in the world until we say goodbye to 2022 and greet 23!
