#art, «Mr. Upright Bass» A Phenomenal Fine Art Print!

(Image property of FBC/All Rights Reserved)

This was always a smashing good…and quite beloved…drawing in graphite on artists paper. But now it has a new life…and affordable…as a Fine Art Print. It is available only through Fine Art America, the only company I use to recreate my images into fine art prints. Check it out, this is the «art print» on quality artists paper, but there are more types to choose from as well as having the image placed on select items. I invite you to, through this link, visit my gallery at Fine Art America and do it often as to keep the images unique, exclusive and fresh, I change them often…

This image is from a painting from early this year (2023) which now hangs in a private collection in Europe. The image I have placed in my gallery at Fine Art America to be converted into a Fine Art Print in several styles. Check out my gallery at Fine Art America as I have a number of selected images there that you can own, inexpensively, and possess as fine art prints. This way everyone can have original art work in their home…

#art, #music, I Really Don’t Know the Reason…

(Art Digital by FCB/All Rights Reserved)

«Evil People» is a song that I wrote back in my days in Miami in the late 1990’s. It is a song that creates a fantasy in a world which wasn’t as evil as it is nowadays. Basically it states that I don’t know the reason why we’re evil people now…

I am sure we can all think of many reasons. But it occurs to me that the main one is that as a human collective, in other words, the «Family of Man,» has become selfish, self-centred, spiteful, hateful and reckless. People now think, not with their brains, but with their mobile phones (and soon they won’t even have to think, create or solve problems as AI will take care of that), and act as if the world was the set of one of those horrible video games that so many are addicted to.

It seems to me that young people now drink less but get drunk more. Do less drugs but lose their minds more frequently. Indiscipline, disrespect, carelessness and narcissism are the plagues upon humanity. There is no antidote, no vaccine for that like there was for COVID-19.

Can you think of anything else?

Listen to the song…

Telling it Like it Is…

(Photo Geo.tv)

This is a new series that I will be adding chapters to regularly called «TELLING IT LIKE IT IS». It’s the only way to make sure the message is clear and without any distractions. So I hope you participate with any good ideas for subjects that can be truly honest and straightforward in «TELLING IT LIKE IT IS».

CHAPTER ONE

THE CLIMATE CHANGE ACTIVISTS (LUNATICS)

Finally in the USA they have done what should have been done in Europe: accuse the alleged «activists» of climate change of conspiracy against the state’s assets, in other words, of terrorist acts. One Timothy Martin and a Joanna Smith, both 53 years old and American, were arrested for attacking Degas’ work «La petite danseuse de quatorze ans.» The artwork is displayed at the National Gallery in Washington D.C. The Attorney General of the United States has prosecuted and charged them with crimes against the United States, as well as causing damages to the National Gallery.

The attack by these two thugs, who apparently belong to a group called «Declare Emergency,» occurred in April. In addition to that atrocity against art and society, they dared to block the roads and access to the city of Washington D.C. to draw attention to the danger posed by climate change. They were also prosecuted for this offense.

The prank of these two troublemakers caused $2,400 (USD) worth of damage to the museum. Additionally, the artwork had to be removed and remained absent for ten days.

I say that the good thing about this news is that Martin and Smith face sentences of five years for each offense and fines of over $250,000 (USD). Hopefully, they have to serve that sentence and pay those fines. We have to send a clear and strong message to these criminals, that demonstrations or terrorist acts against art or culture that damage public or private property will not be tolerated. Artworks are not to be touched.

I say this, not because I want to wish anyone the misfortune of serving a sentence, but because this brutality must stop. These individuals, although they have the right to think as they please and defend what they want, do not have the right to interfere with works of art or the cultural heritage of any country.

They also do not have the right to obstruct traffic or to pour a liquid into the Trevi Fountain that dyed the waters black, supposedly charcoal, as nine «activists» detained by the Italian police did in May. It’s time for these atrocities to be paid for, and paid for well.

Other atrocities of these people: They put their hands on a Goya painting in Madrid, they threw tomato soup at Van Gogh’s «Sunflowers,» and they poured mashed potatoes on a Manet in Potsdam, Germany.

That is not activism or anything of the sort. Those same anti-system activists, who are against the supposed climate change, use mobile phones, drive cars, use paints, and other techniques to put their insignias (boring, silly, and anachronistic) on their t-shirts, posters, etc. So they do use petroleum-derived products quite well.

They are hypocrites. Sometimes I even think that they are agents of the rich and powerful, the 1% who steal everything, and of that whole group who wants us to stop driving our cars, to not use plastics, and a thousand more prohibitions that harm the Earth’s ecosystem, while they travel in their private planes and huge cars, if not in limousines in caravans. It seems that the carbon footprint of the rich and powerful does not pollute, but ours does. To raise our awareness, they use these «useful idiots» who go around sticking their little hands on museum walls and attacking art that has nothing to do with their supposed fight.

It’s about time that we see things clearly and call them out by name and TELL IT LIKE IT IS!

Al pan, pan y al vino, vino…

(Foto Geo.TV)

#poem, «Toasting You» (Euro-Ku)

(Image is original Art Digital photography by Francisco Bravo Cabrera/All Rights Reserved)

I was before, and I have been here since, walking on these turquoise marble floors, eating bread and drinking wine, the wine left to survive the year of the draught where less than three barrels came out,

and you, yes, it’s always been you, the one without faith, without principles, who dared to rub her body on mine and kiss my lips, wet with wine for I’ve been drinking, and who invited me to die in her arms, but your arms were the wings of a butterfly, born on the first of December to die on the first of May,

when the stars weep above the sea, the green and grassy sea, where butterflies live and hide in the branches of bramble bushes, wise and slow, butterflies who knew and know what there is and what will be, especially at the hour when one drinks the sour wine of grapes that grew on floors of turquoise marble, and I raise my glass and there, toasting you, I will be.

I have talked a lot about my invention, the Euro-Ku before, so I will just mention that the Euro-Ku is a style of poetry that aims to connect with the traditional Japanese Haiku, but from a Western perspective. One must stay true to their own identity and the only way to appreciate a work of art is through the lens of one’s personal background, life experiences, and position in society. Therefore, I concluded that as a Western poet, it would not be appropriate for me to write a traditional Japanese Haiku. Instead, I chose to create something…similar…to convey the same concepts.

Thus on the 2nd of February 2022, the Euro-Ku was born. It has three verses but without syllabic count and with the requirement that the verses must be clearly understood by all and flow into each other in a simple, straightforward manner. And then there’s the illustration. The Euro-Ku must be accompanied by an original illustration created by the poet…
