“El gobierno no es el dueño del país, al contrario, es el empleado del pueblo, y el pueblo es el dueño legítimo. Si el gobierno traiciona la confianza que le ha concedido el pueblo, el pueblo tiene el derecho y el deber de reemplazarlo. si el gobierno no defiende la integridad del país es un traidor.”

“The government does not own the country. On the contrary, they are employees of the people who are the legitimate owners of the country. If the government betrays the trust that the people have placed in them, it is the right and the duty of the people to replace that government. If the government does not protect the integrity of the country, they have committed treason.

A powerful reminder that in a democracy, government is entrusted with authority by the people and must remain accountable to them.

I particularly appreciate the idea that those who govern are, in a sense, public servants—their responsibility is to protect the country, uphold the law, and serve the public interest.

    1. Thank you so much Sir. Yes indeed they are public servants, employees of the people. They are not «officials» like they like to call themselves. I appreciate your participation always as you always bring fresh and new information to add to the dialogue. I am grateful. I hope you are enjoying a most wonderful day in peace and in beauty.
