Faith saved us from the savages that we were, losing faith makes us savages again
What a fascinating appreciation of John Singer Sargent and his remarkable artistic journey. 🎨👏 Born in Florence to American parents and shaped by his years in Paris, Sargent developed a truly cosmopolitan artistic vision. His mastery of the brush and his ability to capture not merely a likeness but the presence and personality of his sitters are what make his portraits so compelling.
