Argentina have always had some great players, but their unsavoury tactics on and off the pitch, mean that they don’t get the respect that their players think they deserve – and that includes Messi – which is a shame because in my opinion he’s one of the greatest players ever.
As for last night’s match, it was quite unexpected for a game that meant nothing really. England were hurting from the semi-final and came out with the intention of getting it off their chest, which I don’t think France were quite prepared for. The second half saw France feeling the same way as England did in the first half which led to a game that was pretty exciting to watch even though it shouldn’t have been.
If the referee stops any ‘argie bargy’ from the kick off then I think – and hope – that Spain will lift the trophy. Good luck my friend!
Argentinian players demonstrated what low class and bad sportsmen they are. But Spain dominated the entire match and finally the goal. They deserved the Cup for sure. All the best to you my friend. Enjoy a wonderful day and week.

As you might have noticed I am not too active on the blog since last October, and it is because I have been thoroughly engaged in several writing projects and some painting commissions that I really need to work on and reading the blogs was taking too much time. Time is limited and short and I really have to work on these endeavours. But I post to keep my record of continued posts only and I reply to comments as well and it is always quite a distinct pleasure to hear from you.
You may, or may not, have noticed that I haven’t been posting much recently either Francesc. My sentiments are the same as yours but for a different reason. Without going into details, my health has forced me to take a back seat where WordPress is concerned as there are issues that are far more important to contend with at the moment. Even so, I hope you’re well, and wish you good luck with your projects. Even if we don’t correspond as much as we used to, we should at least make an effort to keep in touch, whatever the situation.
