#opinion, May These Be Our Worst Days – Que sean estos nuestros peores días…

MAY THESE BE OUR WORST DAYS… And may we leave them behind and enjoy good ones…

We are starting a year that has begun with rain, and I mean RAIN! In my country (Spain), it has rained all January and so far in these 9 days of February, we have had seven (7) major storms, mostly hitting the western parts and Andalucia. It has rained so hard and so copiously that towns are in danger of being destroyed because of the oversaturation of water on the ground. Needless to say rivers have overflooded and destroyed crops, roads, bridges, washed away cars and people as well…

So, we look, we feel, we hear and we continue. I mean, life must go on, right?

Right…

But good things are happening, at least in Spain, and hopefully in your country too. WE are about to pass a law prohibiting social media to minors under the age of 16. I think that should have been like that from the «get-go!» but it wasn’t and now… Is it a bit too late? And how is this law going to be enforced? In any event, I hope they find a way to enforce it. Social media is no place for children…

Another great thing in Spain (and hopefully this happens in your country too) is that the ultra-left (far-left) was wiped away from the parliament of Aragón! Yes! No more «Podemos» I guess the people finally realised that they could not accomplish anything with such extremists in their law-making body. And the Socialists were also humiliated. Not so much because they are socialists, but because most Spaniards do not want Pedro Sanchez any more with his bad decisions, populist agenda and desire to flood the country with illegal immigrants…

QUE ESTOS SEAN NUESTROS PEORES DÍAS… Y que los dejemos atrás y disfrutemos de mejores…

Este año ha comenzado con lluvia, y digo ¡LLUVIA! En mi país (España), ha llovido todo el mes de enero y hasta ahora en estos primeros 9 días de febrero, hemos tenido siete (7) tormentas importantes, que han golpeado principalmente las partes occidentales y Andalucía. Ha llovido de tal manera y con tal abundancia que los pueblos están en peligro de ser destruidos debido a la sobresaturación de agua en el suelo. No hace falta decir que los ríos se han desbordado y destruido cultivos, carreteras, puentes, arrastrado coches y personas también…

Entonces, miramos, sentimos, y continuamos. Quiero decir, la vida continúa, ¿No?

Si…

¡Una gran cosa aquí en España (y espero que esto suceda en tu país también) es que a los ultraizquierdistas les están dando caña y fueron eliminados del parlamento de Aragón! ¡Sí! No más «Podemos», pues parece que no pudieron. Supongo que los aragoneses se dieron cuenta que no podían lograr progreso con esos extremistas en su órgano legislativo. Y los socialistas también fueron humillados. No tanto porque ser socialistas, sino porque la mayoría de los españoles ya no quieren a Pedro Sánchez, con sus malas decisiones, su agenda populista y su deseo de inundar al país con inmigrantes ilegales…

Además otras cosas buenas están sucediendo, al menos en España, y con suerte en tu país también. Estamos a punto de aprobar una ley que prohíbe las redes sociales a menores de 16 años. Creo que debería haber sido así desde el principio, ¡pero no lo fue! Y ahora… ¿Será demasiado tarde? Y me pregunto: ¿Cómo se va a aplicar esta ley? Venga, de todas formas, espero que encuentren como implementarla y como hacerla cumplir. Las redes sociales no deben ser para niños…

Bueno, os deseo una semana feliz y que Dios quiera que la lluvia les de tregua a esa pobre gente de Andalucia.
