THANKSGIVING
The air’s alive with fragrances and thoughts…
With dry leaves flying,
While autumn’s dying and winter’s
Trying to make its way back home.
Thoughts of gratitude,
that enrich our soul…
Thoughts of giving,
so that all can hope,
for a new tomorrow,
for a better day,
for all that and more,
now let us pray…
Thoughts of peace
That will bless our homes,
Such thoughts,
Such feelings…
Such love-filled hearts…
And the air’s also alive,
with the sweet smell
of a turkey in the oven,
pumpkin pie,
cranberry sauce,
stuffing,
and a glass of fine red wine
to toast to all you love,
so raise your glass above
your heart
and sincerely now,
give thanks.

Great! We also brought back leftovers, as they say, leftovers always taste better the next day… We had turkey, and the rest of the food was totally international: Russian, Jordanian, Turkish and Georgian. Quite an interesting feast, at least for me not being too familiar with those dishes…
