Poem: “Central Park”

No one on Earth can change the course of history.

No one should doubt, there’s absolutes and laws,

and right and wrong and Ten Commandments, written deep upon the stone.

There is the purest white and purest darkness,

we’re free to choose between what’s right and wrong,

travelling through our thoughts, strong winds and lightning,

travelling through our ears an old, old song.

I stood one day in Central Park,

snow covered the ground,

I thought of summer…

What a powerful and evocative piece! ✨
Your words carry a timeless weight, weaving morality, freedom, and reflection into a flowing, almost musical rhythm. I love how you move from the absolutes of “right and wrong” and “Ten Commandments” to the vivid imagery of winds, lightning, and an “old, old song.” The transition into Central Park — snow underfoot — grounds the poem in a tangible moment, balancing its philosophical depth with quiet, contemplative beauty.

This writing invites the reader to pause, to think about personal responsibility and the enduring truths that shape our paths. It’s thoughtful, lyrical, and gently stirring — a wonderful blend of wisdom and artistry.
