I think you have to include photography in the mix. Pre-photography, I can admire Vermeer, say, for painting this photo-real image. But the trouble with photography is that it doesn’t necessarily express any feelings. So post-photography, I can admire something like Starry Night, which offers an insight into what’s in vG’s head as he’s staring up at the sky..

A good idea Mister Bump, I will definitely look more into post-photography. But I am a big lover of photography in its traditional sense, although you are right, it is hard to capture feelings and transmit them through the lens of a camera/phone. Thank you and all the best.
