Querido diario, página 99 – ¡Viva la libertad!

(«Buddy»/Francisco Bravo Cabrera/All Rights Reserved_

Sometimes I think we live among fools, that the people of the 21st Century have no grey matter as is the case with many of the 20th… that all sense of normalcy, reason, and logic (and you know Dear Diary that I don’t give a shit about logic) have gone to hell in a handbasket. Good grief! Instead of enjoying, celebrating, appreciating and being thankful for freedom, peace and abundance, mankind opts for shit, for backwardness, for war and slavery. In Poland an Eurodeputy has stepped all over the EU flag and then burned it. India and Pakistan have gone to war, and I don’t need to tell you how much we do not need another war, especially between two nuclear powers. And I could care less who is right or who started it. On the other hand you have the Palestinians, the Yemenis, terrorist groups, evangelicals, nationalists and supporters of my most hated football club, etcetera etceteraTariffs, fights, name changes, religion, the economy, the terrible way children are being educated (at home and at school), the horrible fashion trends, the addiction to the mobile phone, the influencers… Enough of all this shit! I pass! I can do without all of it! Why do not we, instead, approach our mirror and looking into the eyes of the one we love the most, instead of complaining and bitching, or repeating stupid slogans we sing along with Don Giovanni, like this

Glad to see that brilliant donkey again rather than the current crop of dumb asses that pass for leadership in too many countries. You nailed it this time, Francisco.

Thank you, Francesco, for so eloquently highlighting the problems the normal and peace-loving people face in increasingly turbulent times. I don’t know if we can do anything about it except voting for those who can make changes, and working in our corner of the world for the benefit of those in need of help.

Anyone who loves Mozart is my friend because he is the greatest composer who ever lived, not only for his works but for what his music does to our well-being. Students listening to Mozart do better in exams, as his music synchronizes with the beating of human heart.

Finally, Francesco, I love your beautiful picture!

    1. Thank you so much Joanna. Yes, I have always loved Mozart and when available I would never miss one of his operas, especially Don Giovanni which I love. And I agree, I think we can all do something even if it is with one person/situation at a time. We do not have to conquer the world, all we have to do is touch another soul with kindness, respect and consideration. All the best and a lovely Saturday to you.
