Born in 1953, most of my earliest memories date to 1957. Aside from the flood in Valencia, I remember almost everything else in your post. The late 1950s and early 1960s were indeed interesting years to be a child and becoming interested in everything. Television brought everything into our living rooms, although in black-and-white! Rock ‘n’ Roll and «the space race» … who could ask for anything more? This post kindled many good memories.
