A school shooting at any time of the year is a horrible tragedy, more so at this time, nearing the holidays when families are planning festive and happy events. Especially for their children. Then a 15 year old female shoots up her school. She killed a teacher and another student. She also was killed…
To say that this happens way too often is an understatement. To ask why it occurred is to deny that the underlying problem in the US is the proliferation of guns. Children, of course, are not allowed to use guns or own guns, but they are readily available. Many times these children gain access to their family’s guns and either kill themselves, accidentally, or someone else.
I do believe that children are growing up in a make-believe world where things are manipulated by their will. From early on they are given tablets, mobile phones or computers so that they can entertain themselves and not bother their parents. Life online is very realistic, but it is not reality…
I think that guns kill. I have been around guns all my life and while I lived in the US I owned several guns and carried one everywhere, legally. I was trained in the use of firearms and in safety procedures. In the police department all officers must qualify before being allowed to carry a firearm, and there are yearly qualifications as well. So, if law enforcement has to go through all those steps, training and qualifications to walk around armed, why shouldn’t civilians?
I don’t want to take guns away from people. I do believe it is their right. But for protection or hunting, not for killing others. Assault weapons should have never been allowed in the hands of untrained civilians. They are military weapons meant to kill. And guns kill! If you do not believe guns kill then ask soldiers to go to war with frisbees!
Time to end this craziness and these tragedies. May God bless and take the victims, all of them…

I agree that everyone should be trained to handle and use firearms correctly. I grew up in a time where that was done in this country but as you stated the internet has changed the standards of life.

Another tragic event… I do agree with you too. This is a big problem… And you well explained the problem about children.. Education is important but most important education starts in family… We have to know how we do protect our children. By the way not only weapons, there are another problem too behind all these criminal event… addictions… we have a big problem about this. Seems that people have lost their mental balance for this reason. It is heartbreaking to read tragic events in the news every day. This is always such sad and heartbreaking news, especially when children are involved. The tragedy of a 15-year-old girl taking her own life after causing so much pain is devastating. It’s truly heart-wrenching that this young girl, who had been trained with a gun from an early age, was able to cause such havoc. I believe that the parents must take responsibility for allowing this, as the consequences are beyond tragic.
A school shooting, particularly around the holidays, is an unimaginable horror, one that families should never have to face. The loss of a teacher, a student, and the girl herself, in such a way, leaves a deep, painful mark. We need to confront the underlying issues, including the easy access to guns, especially assault weapons. It’s a complex problem, but it’s clear that something must change.
My heart goes out to the victims, their families, and all affected by this senseless tragedy. May they find peace, and may we find a way to stop these tragedies from continuing.

My heart also goes out for the victims, and the 15 year old child is a victim as well. If parents do not comply with their duty to raise children as children should be raised and not as they are doing it, these horrible things will continue and many more will die at the hands of innocent children. This child’s parents should be prosecuted to the furthest extent of the law so that an example, a clear and precise example, can be set. And another thing (albeit controversial) children should not be allowed to be «trans»…. Thank you so much Willie and many blessings.
