And I’ve no problem with people using this tool, after all, that is what tools are for. Here is my use of it. I wanted a realistic looking black and white painting of a mermaid…

Its quite decent and I believe that you could have done one that was more interesting…. Overall, I have been reasonably satisfied with the AI generated graphics I have requested.

I am too. It’s a tool that combines pieces of other artists work and comes up with something else. It cannot think, feel or posses a spirit. It’s not an artist, therefore its product is not art. All the best Sara. Have a good night. 🌺🌻🌺

Good points Willie, like they said a picture is worth a thousand words, but it is the illustrations that enhance the narrative, not the AI. The AI is simply the tool (the means) to accomplish that without you having to resort to a graphic designer or paint/draw them yourself. In that sense I see the value (as a tool) but it is far from being as accurate and as good as a real illustrator. Just like a synthesiser in the music world, it mimics the sounds of many instruments but it is not the same as the real instrument played by a human. Only humans can make art, it is a gift from God that machines can never and will never posses. All the best my brother and a happy weekend to you. I had to experiment a bit, not impressed, but the only good thing about it is the speed it processes the command. It would take me a bit longer to get the drawing (sketch) or painting done. Just another tool in the box…

It’s a tool, useful, but still a tool. Not much to learn, just type in your description and it conjures it up by magic… 😊

I noticed, however, that so much A.I. is similar or even identical. I’ve seen the same female face on numerous A.I. generated female characters.
