         I’ve never even seen an orange tree! Must be heavenly to live where they grow!

         Yes, they are everywhere from this point on and towards the south. In all the cities there are orange trees, but not the sweet oranges you eat or make juice from, these are sour oranges that are later used for marmalade. At the end of winter the city shakes the trees and sells the oranges to the UK. In Florida there were many, many orange groves too, but not in the cities… Have a great Wednesday Janet and all the best.

      The oranges belong to City Hall and one can be fined for taking them, but I reckon there may be some that do when no one is looking. And many fall unharmed… but arrested? No. Here you practically have to kill someone to get arrested. 😊

         Today is a national holiday, Constitution Day, marking our (new) constitution’s 46th year. Thankfully Carrefour is open! 😊 It’s not that I want to exploit workers, but we have far too many holidays!
