Well she is from Calgary, Canada, and I must confess I had never heard of her before finding out that she had done a cover for Vogue magazine. (If you did not know the subject is the North American model Kaia Gerber)

She is also represented by Gagosian Gallery, owned by Larry Gagosian, art innovator (and creator of «superstars») who is also Weyant’s boyfriend. Prior to her relationship with Gagosian no one had ever heard of her.
Here are some of her works:

So, what do you think?

Goodness, Francisco! These are quite….?….bold…strong…making me look twice!

Wonderful Ashley, so glad you like them. I do not find them bad either, at least not from a purely technical point of view. All the best.

I think it’s beautiful when beautiful women are not discriminated-against nor condescended-towards for their gender or their looks – whether society thinks them beautiful or otherwise – as I believe the artist you’ve featured beautifully conveys, in these amazing works. Though the discrepancy between the artist’s appearance (i.e. «supermodel») and that of some of her subjects (i.e. «average woman») makes me curious (and though it’s hard not to be envious of such combined beauty and talent), speculation, especially in the form of gossip, is not an art-form but rather an all-too-common human foible, and cannot hold a candle to illuminative works such as these.
I love these paintings. Yours are also divine. Great share, Francesc! <33

Thank you so much Lia! I truly appreciate and stand with your statements. But, Anna Weyant, the painter, is not the super-model, that was her subject for the cover of Vogue, the North American actress/model Kaia Gerber… Cheers and all the best to you.

I meant the blond woman in the top photo (with her name underneath in the caption) – she also looks like a supermodel. Thanks for the kind reply!

You’re very welcome Lia. The blonde woman is the artist. All the best.
