I remember a boy in college claiming that women had no inherent talent, since there were more famous male artists throughout history. He, of course, did not take into account the fact women artists received no recognition or that women were for many centuries confined to the home.

Thank you so much Ana! The spotlight here in VALENCIARTIST goes to all artists, poets, writers, musicians, dancers, et al who wish to splash some light onto themselves and their art. My goal is to advance the conversation of art and bring forth those who have been shunned or ignored by the «experts» and those who presently…and previously…rule the world of art. And this led me to create my «Women Artists Series» where I feature tremendous, phenomenal and huge artists that were not mentioned to me during Art School at Uni and who I should have known about. But now that I do, I think everyone that loves art should know too. There are many women artists known, but only the tip of the iceberg. And even the ones who have sold…at auction…for millions, still are «worth» less than their male counterparts and that has to change. Thank you so much Ana and I greatly appreciate your participation, inspiration and encouragement. All the best.
