If a tool is available…in art or in anything else…use it! This is a concept, a way of life, that I learned years ago in the military, and doing that has been quite useful for me. In art one does not have to fear the advancements in technology. On the contrary. A good artist is a good searcher, and if one searches one will find. I am sure that many of the vanguard artists of the early XXth Century would have loved to experiment with all the innovations available to us. So, just like the synthesiser did not do away with real instruments or musicians, AI will not do away with artists. Just like digital art has not done away with the real canvas or the real palette. I enjoy digital art as much as «real» art.
Check out these digital works from this year at Omnia Caelum Studios Valencia and tell me what you think…
Is this not art evolution then Francesc? 🤪

I don’t look at the development of new tools, techniques or technology necessarily as evolution. In evolution, for example, whales, who they say used to walk on land, evolved fins to adapt themselves to the ocean, and after that no more walking whales. Art will continue to be made even using the most ancient methods, if an artist chooses, or with the assistance of tools like digital programmes or AI. Some might consider it evolution, to each his own, but I do not look at it that way. 😀
