Cuando pinto casi siempre comienzo haciendo un dibujo a lápiz y luego comienzo a darle los colores a las diferentes partes del cuadro. Como mi trabajo se basa en lo que siento y veo internamente, y no me interesa representar la realidad como la ves tu, no pinto figuras, si no formas que componen el puzle que es el cuadro. Asi es el expresionismo-surreal, o el surreal-expresionismo. Pero a veces, cuando le hago fotos a los cuadros sin terminar, me parece que son como el rompecabezas de la vida. Partes ya la hemos vivido y partes nos quedan por vivir…

When I create a painting, I usually start by making a pencil drawing, then I begin to add color to the different parts and end up with a painting. Since my work is based on what I feel and see internally, and I am not interested in representing reality as you see it, I do not paint figures, but rather shapes that make up the puzzle that is the painting. This is the nature of surrealist-expressionism, or expressionist-surrealism. But sometimes, when I take pictures of unfinished paintings, I look at the unfinished work and it seems like the puzzle that is life. I think that some of those light blues are asking for richer, more contrasting colors, if that is what you think and feel. You did ask….

Thanks Pat, I always welcome comments and appreciate them. But when I photograph one of my paintings I usually alter the colours and the contrast. Just so that it cannot be copied.
