#art, La luz y el color del mundo – Light And the Colour of the World

(«Sonistus» de/by Francisco Bravo Cabrera/Derechos Reservados/All Rights Reserved)

«Sonistus» belongs to a series of paintings that explore the impact of light, daylight, as captured by our eyes, the eyes of the observers. We see colours everywhere we look, something that is particular and general in our lives and our human condition. Not all living beings wandering through Mater Terram see the colours that surround them, and I don’t just mean the colours of things, but the colours that move from one thing to another under the light. Our human eyes perceive them even if we don’t realize it. That light, that impact, is what I have tried to reproduce in this series of paintings. The splashes of colours animate each other, come together, separate, join, and disperse without logic and without apparent meaning, but everything is well calculated under the sun because the Earth, nature, and ourselves are the result of creation, not randomness.

I started this comment but got cut off! 🙄

Yes! Colour interactions are missed by most people & I love it that you highlight it here! I particularly like the painting with many «greens». Also, there are traces of Miro here!

    1. Thank you so much Ashley, yes, in our field of vision many colours abound and we cannot discern them all, but they are there… Miró? Oh, God no, he is one of the few painters that I totally dislike, not the person, but his «art». Cheers and all the best!

I’m possibly out of touch with art so hopefully you’re not too upset. 🙏🙏🙏

      2. No, not at all Ashley 😊 I’ve done some posts on Miró, they sort of give you an idea of my opinion of him… All the best to you.
