#music, #art, Dibujos de John Lennon – Drawings by John Lennon

(Foto/Photo Cadena 100)

Some said he was the leader of The Beatles, I think Paul McCartney would argue with you about that, others that he was a spoiled slacker, a communist troublemaker, that his songs were crap, except for one, «Imagine» etcetera etcetera… I say he was something like a genius, a guy with a sense of humor and a life hard to understand, but with great creativity in his soul and a range of incredible artistic works (songs) in his not so long career. But well, we all know the songs of John Lennon when he was a Beatle and those he made later, but maybe it is not known that Lennon loved to draw. Here I bring you some of his drawings.

I would agree with you that he was a genius. Personally I am more impressed with his music than his artwork. I think I saw one associated with Imagine that was really good. Here I like the three figures on a cloud, which seems to be a guitar, him and Yoko (but it could be anything).

    1. Undoubtedly he was a better songwriter… I like that one too!

  2. I feel like I’ve noticed that musicians and notably songwriters/instrumentalists always have some type of drawing capability, but just seems to be an afterthought in the creativity of art. I think writing is always the headfirst concept and drawing, painting, sculptures, pottery, etc. anything of the nature is the final frontier of challenge when it comes to art. I’m an abstract artist. I’m often hard on myself, and most people say my art is «demented and twisted» {dhdauchreainte) but I take it as a compliment!! All of that of which I cannot express is deemed in my imagery. And that – is a blessing. I usually use G-2 Pilots, random pens, but my favorite mediums are charcoal and clay. Graphic design is very fun too, but it’s been some time. I did a blue edit with Google Canvas and Google Photos Editing awhile back when I got my Asus Chromebook. She does the job just fine :)) Maybe I’ll get around to doing something with it. One of your lastest posts was good encouragement where I mentioned. 😎🤙🏼

    1. Doing some new art seems like a phenomenal idea. Don’t hesitate, paint, draw, design, create… All the best.

  4. I liked all of their music, whether they were together as the Beatles or not. However, I could never stand Yoko Ono.
