In Castilian Spanish we say “de nada” after “gracias.” Perhaps some American countries say “por nada,” but that’s really another expression not intended to be used after being thanked. It literally means “for nothing” as in he risked his life for nothing… hope this helps 😊

It does. I looked up the answer which said it was de nada in Spain and por nada in Mexico. I can use de nada.
