That was a good year for art and music. Although just four years old, I probably saw Elvis’ last appearance on The Ed Sullivan Show. The family watched it every Sunday night.

Great! And yes, it was a great year in art and music! For me what really made it was the meeting of John and Paul that led to the creation of the Beatles! Thank you Janet. Hope you are doing good and staying comfortable through that storm we are all watching that is covering the US with ice and snow… You would not believe that here, while the rest of Spain also freezes, we are at 15 degrees! No floods, no torrential downpours, blizzards and snowstorms, we are very blessed in Valencia thanks to the immense generosity of God.

Yes, I think the meeting of John and Paul in 1957 was what changed the music world forever. It’s impossible to imagine our lives now without the music of the Beatles!
Our weather is finally taking a good turn. The low of 13 degrees F. Sunday morning was our coldest morning here. Of course, that didn’t take into account the windchill. It has been a harder than usual month here weather-wise with the flooding rains on January 9 and then the freezing weather setting in several days later. Would you believe they’re predicting 70 degrees here the end of the week? Sunny today, with rain predicted the rest of the week through Sunday.
