In police circles, in criminal law and in society the term has always been DOMESTIC VIOLENCE and it has always been defined as violence perpetrated by someone known to the victim, regardless of his/her relationship to the victim. Brother on brother, Mother on children, spouse on spouse, even friends and neighbours would fall into the definition of DOMESTIC VIOLENCE. Domestic violence is what the name describes. I spent thirty years dealing with this during my time in the Miami-Dade Police Department.
But now these anti-male, demasculinisers of the new and modern feminist (which in no way has anything to do with real feminism) have come up with a real discriminating, man-hating term called «gender violence.» With this they imply that «something» in the male gender makes them violent towards women! Incredible! And what is worse, in some countries, especially in the European Union, they have actually made laws citing gender violence!
The reality is that all humans (male and female, and as far as I know there are only two genders) are prone to violence. That is why now in so many countries men and women go to war as combatant soldiers. So there is no validity, at least not in Biology, to this idea that the male gender is prone to violence towards the female gender. Many more mothers murder their children than do fathers.
So get over it! Enough with this stupid idea of political correctness! Things should be correct and peace should reign supreme among men (and men means women too) and violence should end, now!

With everything that’s going on in the world right now, Dublin city included, one can’t help but wonder what’s going on. Honestly; we are (supposedly) an intelligent species. This means we know right from wrong, but only in the way that is taught to us.
And depending on who taught you, creates a complex person that acts on logic, or a simple one that acts on its base instincts like a wild animal. Meaning:

If your parents, your school, society and entertainment all teach you the best values; anger will be a last resort. But humans like that are extremely rare.
And you have the counterpart. The one that does as they see, literal monkey-see-monkey-do types. The ones more prone to violence. Also the majority of our race. And these will not think twice whether or not to peer pressure the first type. To bully them for being intelligent, make them feel bad for being nice, and so on.
And then there’s the middle ground. Those with a bit of both types. But also those with no fucks left to give. So rather than stand up for the rare ones, they join the masses despite knowing enough to know better. But still selfish enough to think of their own well-being first. They are arguably the worst type of the three, despite being the middle ground. Often leaders, employers, politicians, medics, lawyers, etc.
Agents of chaos, I call them. They know how to be better, they have the power to force the world to be better. But would rather act like the worst of the worst because that’s where the votes are, where the money is.
Unless the middle ground improves, humanity will stay the same until we commit genocide on ourselves, or blow up the plan

And yes, unfortunately we do not learn, or are compelled to shun learning and to remain stupid, manipulated and violent.
