   Given that corruption is usually based on need and greed, there’s no silver bullet to make it stop. What usually gets my blood boiling is that corruption is not only about bribes: people, especially the poor get hurt when resources are wasted. That’s why it is so important to understand the different kinds of corruption to develop smart responses. But then again, as you know, most people want nothing more than to maximise personal or corporate gain and because there is often a lack of awareness within the industry and amongst the public as to the nature of the different types of corruption, and that they constitute criminal offences. Thus, corruption often goes undetected, even by those against whom it is perpetrated, and therefore goes unreported.
