Farrokh Bulsara, born, 1946, in Stone Town in the Sultanate of Zanzibar, died on the 24th of November, 1991, at the age of 45 in London… He went by the name Freddy Bulsara and Larry Lurex before officially taking on the surname Mercury. And as Freddy Mercury he conquered the rock world. Without a doubt one of the most iconic voices in rock, Freddy Mercury was also a prolific writer who wrote many of Queen’s big hits. He left us much too soon.
