   Grand pics. I love blue skies and sparkling ocean water, but give me summertime and beaches only rarely.

      As much as I like the sea and being near it, I am not a fan of the beach. I don’t like sand and unless I jump off a sailboat anchored on a nice cove, I rarely go into the water… but being close to it, sitting at a bar in the cool shade and having an ice cold beer on a hot summer day is perfect…

         Beaches are grand in specific circumstances. They are generally close to fine seafood eateries. Some sport long piers jutting into the ocean where one can walk to the end of the boardwalk, sit in salt-infused breezes, listen to gossiping sea birds, sip a cool beer, and let the mind wander, maybe write a fine piece of poemetry.
