They were from Los Angeles, California and in many ways they were a defining force for the counter-culture of the 1960’s. That might seem a trifle naïve in this day and age, after we have seen the result and many other changes as well. Times so different from today they might as well be retrieved from another galaxy. Not that there were NOT difficulties and immense dislikes held one fragment of society against another, but somehow there was amidst that contention, a civility, akin to the rules of the Marquis of Queensbury. Today there is intolerance in an implacable form and therefore the hatred and the unacceptance of anything that comes from the «other side.» Communism has infiltrated and the immoral ones are now our equals…
