«Lola» es una de esas canciones que la cantas desde la primera vez que la escuchas. Es un hit pop por excelencia, pero ¿Os habéis fijado bien en la letra? ¡Mare meua! Escuchadla bien porque tiene tela… «Lola» salió el 12 de junio de 1970 (la época de música buena) y fue escrita por el líder de The Kinks, Ray Davis, y según el cuenta, se inspiró en un incidente que sufrió…o no…el manager de la banda en Paris cuando se lio con un travesti, (¿Sin darse cuenta?), y lo descubrió…jejeje…la mañana siguiente… ¡Menuda noche!

«Lola» is one of those songs you can practically sing along with the first time you hear it. It is a pop hit par excellence. But, have you really listened to the words? My God! Listen carefully as there is a lot there! «Lola» was released on the 12th of June 1970 (the years of good music). It was written by the Kinks leader, Ray Davis. It narrates a supposedly true event that occurred to their manager in Paris when he hooked up with a transvestite (didn’t he notice?) thinking it was a beautiful woman, only to discover the truth (hehehe) the next morning. Oh what a night!
