#music, It’s Thursday! It’s the Middle of the Week and Here is Our Song…

«I’m a Boy»

This is our song for our «middle of the week» music. I have always been a fan of The Beatles, but that did not limit me from greatly enjoying other fab bands that came from Britain in the 60’s, 70’s, 80’s and 90’s… The Who were one of my all time favourites along with the Rolling Stones and Led Zeppelin… In any event, I wanted to feature this great song written by Pete Townshend in 1966. The song is about a mother who wants four girls but has three and a boy and tries to turn the wee lad into a lass but he screams out «I’m a boy!» but when he does, he gets it! It’s important to know that it is not ok to try to turn little boys into little girls. Boys will be boys and girls will be girls anything else is abnormal (in my opinion).

(1966 version)

Enjoy…

(1971 version)

Cheers…

  2. Hello from the UK

Many thanks for your post, a timely reminder of a great song which resonates today with all the LGBTQ+ nonsense. So your last sentence «It’s important to know that it is not ok to try to turn little boys into little girls. Boys will be boys and girls will be girls anything else is abnormal (in my opinion).» I 100% agree with.

Although I would have not included «(in my opinion)».

Of course lots of people are blaming the WHO nowadays for the evil going on. Roger Daltry and Peter Townshend should sue!

    Kind regards

    1. Thank you. I think that one must respect and the first thing one must respect is God’s order, even if some want to call it nature or the world, but to me it is God. I am in favour of equality but not anything beyond. And as for people thinking The Who are responsible for evil, let them look to their own hearts for evil comes from within not from the outside. It has been wonderful to hear from you. Cheers and all the best. Greetings from Spain.

      1. Thank you! Forgive me, I was trying to be too clever, as I put WHO rather than Who. Perhaps I should have put dots in as in W.H.O., the World Health Organization!!!

I wouldn’t blame The Who for anything (although they smash up some perfectly good guitars I gather)!
