#art, «Algunas de mis obras de 2022» – «Some of My Works of 2022»

Como sabras el 2022 fue el «primer» año netamente «normal» desde el confinamiento, la pandemia y la madre que los parió. Y claro, eso lo afecta a uno y aunque uno se resista a ser llevado por la corriente, algo cambia en la psique y uno empieza a desarrollar el arte de formas diferente, quizá nuevas, quizá olvidadas. Así que piensa en eso cuando mires los cuadros que te voy a mostrar, pues estos son algunos de los que he pintado durante este año netamente «normal». Casi todos ya se han vendido y han encontrado un niche en las colecciones de amantes del arte de toda Europa, con especial énfasis en Francia, Alemania y Países Bajos. (La antigua Holanda, que no se porque ya no se le puede llamar así, misterios de la vida moderna en esta época de la informática, la física quántica y el IA).

As you know, 2022 was the first truly «normal» year since the confinement, the pandemic and all that jazz. Of course that affects one’s thought patterns even if one does not want to let it. Something changes in the psyche and one starts to develop art in different ways. These may be new ways or re-makes of old styles maybe already forgotten. So think about that when you see the paintings that I will show you. These are some of the ones that I painited in this truly «normal» year. Most of them have been sold and now they have found a place in collections all over Europe, especially in France, Germany and The Netherlands. (Which used to be called Holland, and I’ve no clue as to why we cannot call it that anymore. Oh well, these are the mysteries of life in this age of IT, Quantum Physics and AI).

Bueno, como siempre te digo, el arte es la búsqueda, y el que busca encuentra y yo siempre he encontrado, gracias a Dios, porque El es mi norte, mi guía y en quien confió. Pero la pintura también tiene que ceñirse a una filosofía, claro, no tiene que ser la misma para cada cuadro, pero cada cuadro debe captar, claramente, no solo una imagen agradable y de buen gusto, sino también debe ser un mensaje y transmitirlo. Veremos lo que pasa en 2023.

Well, like I always tell you, art is the search and who searches finds. At least I always have, thanks be to God, naturally as He is my North, my guide, in whom I fully trust. But a painting also has to adhere to a philosophy. While it does not have to be the same for all paintings, each one should reflect a philosophical aspect, not just a composition done with good taste. A painting is a message and has to transmit it. Let us see what happens in 2023.
