He lives in France, Normandy and he likes to paint landscapes of the western areas of North America. I will not judge, I’ll leave that to you. I will show you some of the paintings and you will be the judge of whether this, the fourth son of Osama Bin Laden is a painter (artist) or not.

«A mi madre le encanta pintar, y también a una de mis hermanas. Mi tío también era un muy buen artista. Por lo tanto, la necesidad de dibujar y pintar corre por mis venas», es parte de lo que comentó en una entrevista vía Whatsapp el pintor a esta revista, a la que también compartió algunos de sus retratos. (El Heraldo de México)

El Heraldo de México published the following quote and I will translate it:
«My mother loves to paint as well as one of my sisters. My uncle also was a very good artist. Therefore the need to draw and paint runs in my veins», is part of what he commented in an interview vía Whatsapp that the painter gave to this magazine in the which he also shared some of his pictures.

Diría yo que es un pintor naif, más o menos y que ha aprendido el oficio fuera de las academias. Os dejo un vídeo de pintores naif para que lo comparéis.

I would say he is a Naif painter, more or less and that he has learned the craft outside of any academy or school. I will leave you a video of Art Naif so that you can compare.
Gracias…
Cheers…

I find his works to be rudimentary at best. They are what I would expect from any seventh grade art class. As for Kahlo, I cannot find the endearing qualities of her works that others seem to latch onto. Her lack of skills and technique are brutally obvious and painful to my eyes. Her art reeks of ego and pretense. I am completely baffled by why people think she is so gifted.

I agree on both points Brad. And what I truly don’t understand, especially about women, is that they consider her a «feminist» when in truth, if you read her diary or study anything else ever written about her, you discover that she was a submissive woman who accepted her plight of being the victim and never did anything about it. Thank you my friend and may you enjoy the «Old Night» (as we call it) and have a healthy and happy New Year!

If he wants to paint, he should do so. Is he any good, not quite yet. He can’t be judged because of his father. I’ve seen other naif painters I have preferred more.

Very well said Pat. I think the same thing. A Naif painter is actually, in many cases, a well trained pinter that paints like that to express his artistic vision. I don’t know anything more about this chap, so I pass on the judgement. All I can say is that his paintings is not my cup of tea.

Not mine either. 😉🤔😔

You make a valid point. Although I think you mean to say he «should not» be judged because of his father, not he «can’t» be.

Yes, you’re right, he can but shouldn’t. Thanks my friend.

That’s how I would have described him too Francesc

I thought so Malc. In my opinion he doesn’t know how to paint. He paints the way either beginners paint or the way that untrained painters paint. For example, he thinks the sky is «blue» so he opens a tube of cerulean blue (sky blue) and uses it for the sky, and so on to everything else. But the truth is that the sky has many colours. If you look at a landscape painting with sky done by a real painter you notice the nuances and the colour mix. He lacks that but because he is who he is…

Bin Laden’s art seems very childish and immature, but since his name is bin Laden, they will probably sell for a million bucks. Like Hunter Biden. There’s no justice in the art world.

You are spot on Dawn! There is no justice in the art world because it isn’t the art world anymore, it’s the business of art, controlled by the very rich to promote their chosen artists so that their investments don’t lose value. Cheers.
