This is a historic photograph that I took back in 2016 when there was still a boardwalk that enhanced the beauty of the coastline of Miami Beach. Unfortunately the City Commission thought it would be better to tear it down and replace it with a «beach walk» of cement. Progress!
In any event, this image, here converted into a poster print, is now available in my gallery at Fine Art America and available to all at a very reasonable, and affordable price. Here is a lot more…

Yes, in the 70’s it was as you said, I remember, but later, late 80’s and 90’s it was a good place, with many interesting places to go to to eat, galleries, shops et cetera, then came the corporate explosion that has destroyed it, along with the «Urban» music (Hip-Hop) festivals on Memorial Day! I could not wait to get out of South Beach!

Love the old board walk. Great image. We were in South Beach a few years ago and I recognize some of the views in your video.

Thank you Pat. It would be hard to recognise the old South Beach of the 1980’s after say, 2005… but the beauty of the nature is still (mostly) there…
