Nació el 31 de diciembre, en la noche vieja de 1900, a punto de comenzar un nuevo año y un nuevo siglo… Fue una escultora norteamericana, negra, mujer y triunfadora que formó parte del Harlem Renaissance Movement, o sea un movimiento para hacer renacer la música, el baile, el teatro, la literatura, la moda y el arte afro-americana en Estados Unidos… Llegó al mundo por Carolina del Norte (EEUU) y partió, por el mismo lugar, noventa y cuatro años después. She was born on December 31, New Year’s Eve, of 1900, on the verge of a new year and a new century… She was a Black American sculptor, a woman of triumph who formed part of the Harlem Renaissance Movement. This was a renaissance of Afro-American music, theatre, dance, literature, fashion and art that existed in the United States.
