Estos fueron los unicos tres retratos femeninos que pintó Leonardo da Vinci. Del primero al ultimo van mas de treinta años y se nota el desarrollo artístico. Claro, hay que tomar en cuenta que todos estos cuadros han sido tocados y retocados ad nauseum asi que no hay forma de saber lo que realmente pintó da Vinci…
A mi, personalmente, me gustan todos en este orden:
- La dama del armiño
- La Belle Ferronnière
- Ginevra de Benci
- La Gioconda

These were the only three female portraits painted by Leonardo da Vinci. From the first to the last there are thirty years of development noted in the works. Of course we have to realise that these paintings have all been touched and retouched as they were badly damaged, so there is no real way to know what da Vinci really painted…
For me, I would place them in this order of preference:
- The Lady with an Ermine
- La Belle Ferroniere
- Ginevra de Benci
- La Gioconda
And you? How would you list these four paintings?

Exactly the same. I’ve always thought that the woman’s face in the Lady with an Ermine was superior to the Mona Lisa’s, but as you quite rightly point out, retouching may well have altered them to some extent.

Yes, definitely the work of restaurers has affected all of them but there is something about the Lady with an Ermine that has always made me admire that painting…

Yo diría que hay un quinto cuadro, que algunos dicen es una falsificación y otros lo compran en la modesta cifra de 500 millones de ´dólares, implantado récord como la obra de arte más cara en la historia del arte. Me refiero a Salvator Mundi, hoy en el camarote del super yate del prícipe heredero saudí. Gracias por compartir tu magnifico blog, desde el Caribe, también te admiramos.

Ya he publicado acerca del Salvator Mundi y lo de la venta y también que se vence la garantía del comprador y aun no se ha determinado la autenticidad del cuadro. Fue atribuido a Leonardo, pero en fin, tu sabes como son esas cosas, esos expertos, no se sabe quien lo pintó ya que no está firmado… Pero retratos de mujeres, Leonardo solo hizo cuatro.
