“Take Five” was recorded on July 1, 1959. It is considered “cool jazz”. I just consider it a damn good song.

Paul Desmond murió de cáncer en 1977 y dejó los honorarios de esta canción y de todas sus canciones al beneficio De la Cruz Roja que desde esa fecha recibe mucho más que $100.000 dólares (US) al año.
Paul Desmond died of cancer in 1977. He left the royalties of his songs to the Red Cross. Since then they have received well over $100,000 per year.
