A teacher,
not a prophet.
A man…
Not a wounded, bleeding victim on a cross.
The man who walked the earth
and saved the nations,
who walked upon the waters.
The one who spoke the truth against the dogmas of religion,
who called to him
the poor,
the oppressed,
the workers,
the ones many despised, hated, and shunned.
My faith is on the one who did such miracles,
who rescued lonely souls from slavery,
who gave us something wonderful to look towards,
on Earth, on Heaven.
And Heaven is within us…

Beautifully articulated, my friend! I love that you minimized the divinity to focus on the man. Well written and a wonderful form and flow.
