Ok, so I have always been a philosopher at heart, or maybe a poet. But no! I know that I am a poet…at heart…that expresses his philosophy in words, music and paintings, (also illustrations and digital art).
But what is this «Contemporary» Expressionism? It is contemporary now but definitely not in one hundred years…
Hint: It’s explained…more or less…in the video.
And here’s the deal, I will make videos, not just about my work, my philosophy or my poetry, but about art history, artists and new trends on art, and all you have to do is watch them. And yes, please give them a like, if you’re kind, leave a comment, and if you’re super cool, share them with your online world, I would be most appreciative and thrilled! You see I am interested in bringing knowledge of art to more and more people, because I know that people love art, and the more views, likes and shares one of these videos gets, the higher it goes on the search engine and therefore more probabilities that people all over will watch them and maybe get something out of them, artistically of course. Can you lend a hand?
Cheers…
thank you!

Very neat, Francis! Used to think of art history as barely interesting – but far from it, lol! 😊

Thank you Pat! Every time I go…or try to go…to a museum, either here in Valencia, or in Barcelona or Madrid, there are huge queues to enter. People of all ages queueing to get in, so I know that people love art and that is my motivation to research, teach, exhibit and reach out to anyone who wants to listen, watch and get into art and art begins with art history. Thank you again and all the best! I will be absent for a few days when I will be out of town and I doubt I will be able to post so if you do not see anything from me for a few days, I will be back after next weekend. Cheers and all the best,
F

Your aspirations to increase the knowledge of art history and appreciation for art around the world are admirable. The blogs and videos you put together astound me. (I struggle to find a couple of photos to illustrate my blog posts! LOL!) The way you use vibrant colors in your paintings set you apart. I wish I had your eye for color combinations. I was reading a novel last night, When We Cease to Understand the World, by Benjamin Labatut of Chile. I thought about you while reading the first chapter about how Prussian Blue was developed. The book is about how science and math influence world history in ways we don’t realize. The book is a work of fiction, but the author says the chapter about Prussian Blue is primarily factual. Being a student of art history, I’m sure you know all about Prussian Blue. I, on the other hand, was ignorant of its history. Interesting stuff. Take care. Enjoy your time away. Janet

Thank you Janet for those lovely words. I appreciate them very much as I appreciate your time in visiting and always replying. You have taught me a lot too about how to pursue, with discipline, a literary project, in my case more an art one, but I am also interested in writing. Art History is fascinating, as is World History. And I truly believe that if an artist has not immersed himself in the history of art, he is not going to fully round out his work his career, or develop a viable philosophy for the art he does. Take good care and all the best. I will be away for a few days, out of town and I will not be posting (probably not), but I will be back next week, God willing. Hope your weather is good and you are able to continue to produce, research and write.
Francis

I have learned more from you then all my time in art classes in school. I have grown to understand, and thus more deeply appreciate art as a whole. I have learned and explored artists new to me and learned what it is in art I am drawn to. Your ability to express in so many mediums is amazing. Kepp doing your good works, my friend!

I know that with your help and that of our great community of bloggers we can reach out and bring art to many more. Cheers my friend and all the best.
