Well, another beautiful morning here in the Aegean region of Turkey, and I am enjoying my valenciano breakfast, our traditional bread with tomatoes (which isn’t that simple to prepare). As I look out over the sea and to the mountains beyond I think of how peaceful and safe we live in this part of the world.

And as I listen to an interview with someone on the tele talking about gun violence…

I realise that in the United States is where it is all occurring. The availability of guns, and I’m not talking about a hunting rifle, but of military assault rifles, is an atrocity. In my opinion, for a civilian to own a gun they must go through the same steps that police officers go through to be allowed to carry a weapon.

The people deserve to live in peace and safety. Children should not have to fear someone coming to their school and killing them. People should attend parades and public festivities without thinking that someone with a gun might be wanting to shoot them all down. It’s common sense. In all civilised countries on earth there are severe and restrictive gun laws. Why? Because guns do not belong in the possession of civilians.

We had a wonderful public concert here in our town last night. There were lots of people. The whole town and visitors enjoyed a night of music and lights. No one got hurt, no one felt fear. No one was threatened. I’ve been to similar festivities in Miami during my time there and I can tell you that it always ended in violence and someone got shot.

It’s time to put a stop to gun violence in the US and the only way to do it is to stop selling guns and only allow those qualified people to own them, after extensive background checks and training and a license which should be very expensive to purchase.

This is the canvas art print, but there are more styles to choose from. This image is almost an abstract composition, but as you now know, it has discernible elements that belong to the human body and thus it is figurative art. But the colours predominate in their geometric patterns, as well as something that makes it look like the strings of a guitar in the lower portion of the composition. Como pasa un cometa han pasado los años…
Arrastrando por los aires recuerdos, palabras, risas, y llantos
cantos, encantos, y toda una vida.

Burlándose del tiempo, que rápido iba,
vivió a su manera y anduvo a sus anchas
por varios continentes,
compartiendo con toda la gente.

Bebió del buen vino,
también la cerveza,
cataba la sidra,
con mucha certeza…

luchar y ganar,
sentir los latidos,
vivir emociones,
dar de corazón,
compartiendo los peores
y también los mejores regalos
que nos brinda el destino.

Cien años son pocos,
noventa y ocho, muchísimos,

tu recuerdo y sonrisa,

Este poema, bueno quizá estas palabras que a veces riman, otras no, se las dedico a mi padre que ayer, 15 de julio de 2022, partió a otra vida. Fue muy querido por toda la familia y se que lo vamos a echar mucho en falta, pero sabemos que descansa en paz.

These are two more in the series of great vanguard artists. Hope you enjoy and if you like their work, I strongly urge you to look for their art in museums as it is much better to take a look at the actual painting than to see it online.

«Everything you taught me, I didn’t believe it». Mare meua! That’s what I used to think of all the things my parents tried to tell me, or tech me. Perhaps that is why I always loved this song! It’s a great one from the good old days of techno pop in the eighties. But, don’t be fooled, these blokes were the top!

This was one of my first art digital creations back in Miami Beach. I have saved it all these years until I found a reputable company that would sell it as a fine art print, a metal print, an acrylic print et cetera and you can see it/get it here. This was once a painting, now belonging to a collector in Spain. But new life, after changing a few things from the image, it becomes a fine art print which I have allowed this company, a very reputable one, to sell. You can check it out here as well as others in the gallery that I have created.
