I had heard of Escher but not Schiele.

Escher is incredible in his illustrations and lithographs, but Egon Schiele is one of my favourite of all time. Lamentably he lived a short time and died of the Influenza epidemic in 1918, if he would have lived on I think everyone would know his work. I urge you to look further about him.

Well, I am not a fan of every artist I portray here. My intention…like Don Quijote…is to inform about art and about artists, so that whoever likes them can research further…really quixotic here…or ignore them all together. But I know that people really like art and I’ve really no idea who likes who, so I put them forth. Thank you Malc. Maybe I’ll do a compare and contrast video, like who do I like, for example, Yoko Ono or Bansky? What do you think? Who would you choose? Who would I choose? 😁

Neither? Not intrigued at any level with Escher’s work? Those illustrations are incredible, of course I only put in a couple but if you research him you will find incredible illustrations that he made. And Schiele, well, he was the master of the line. Died young in 1918 from the Influenza epidemic in Europe. But he might have been one of the greats had he lived long enough to develop his art more. But, as we all know, art is for the taste of the observer and what is a masterpiece to some is a piece of rot to others. What can I say.
