Now that we have left behind the challenges of youth,
the shadows on the wall,
the monsters in the hall,
the comforting embrace,
warm kisses on our face,
we face the other side of the coin we tossed so high
and wonder if we ever too will fly…

Three coins I’ve tossed into the air,
wondering…
I ask I-Ching and
and I look back,
and darkened tears form in my eyes.

The past is past,
it’s gone,
replaced, and neatly placed within the wooden box
I keep in the darkest place that I could find,
that’s where I store time…

But now we have green eyes and
we still see misery run through the street.
We wonder why
mysteries form at our feet,
and why we hide the sorrow, pain and longing…

But we’ve green eyes,
hungry,
bright and
confident,
to see through darkest night and
to tell the world we’ve seen the light…

FineArtAmerica and FBC

La Navidad, es esa fecha que nadie entiende pero que todos suelen celebrar, de una forma o de otra. Recuerdo que en mi estancia en Nueva York mis amigos judíos se volvían locos por ser invitados a las fiestas navideñas, igual que los musulmanes, ateos, satanistas et cetera…

Época del año donde dicen que abunda la alegría, el calor familiar, la solidaridad con el ser humano, el amor al prójimo y el buen vecino y el buen samaritano…

Pero, ¿Quién se cree todas esas chorradas? ¿Acaso tú? ¿Tú te lo crees?

Vivimos en un mundo que cada día se pone más peligroso…

Sufrimos los estragos del cambio climático…que todavía hay pringaos por ahí que lo niegan…que ya se ha llevado grandes trozos de tierra y se llevará más…

La violencia domestica la han politizado, convirtiéndola en un arma contra el género masculino y contra la sociedad en su totalidad… Toda la vida se ha llamado violencia domestica.

Lo que antes era la razón, ahora son gilipolleces…

La educación, bueno ¿Qué educación? Dirás la formación técnica porque de educación nada, cada vez se ponen más ariscos los críos y no se les puede disciplinar porque te acusan de maltrato infantil… Ostras si los que maltratan a los padres son ellos…

Las buenas formas, los modales, la decencia, en fin, todo lo que definía a nuestra sociedad se ha ido al carajo…

¿Y la natividad de Jesús? Otra farsa mas pues se sabe que Jesús de Galilea no nació el 25 de diciembre, no, no era Capricornio ni nada por el estilo. La fecha no está clara pero tuvo que haber sido por allá por el mes de abril.

Pero bueno no quiero que estés triste porque sobran los motivos para celebrar el fin del 2022. Así que a por los polvorones, los turrones y la cidra que la vida es corta.
