For me this area of the Aegean Sea, between Turkey and Greece has been home for many, many years, as I have spent many of them in this region. This is one of my favourite places on earth.

It doesn’t matter on which side of the Aegean you are on, the beauty is quite the same…

Decided to give you the official lyrics, so sing along!
It is something that has happened to all of us at one time or another in life, that we wanted to accomplish something and our plans fall through and we are stuck, it may not be in Lodi (a place I have never seen) but it must be somewhere.
«Lodi» was released in 1969, wow! It was written by John Fogerty. Of course performed by Creedence Clearwater Revival, better known as CCR. The song was included in the Green River album and released as the «B» side of «Bad Moon Rising», which I am going to include here as part of this triptych to CCR.

Veranos en el Mar Egeo – – – – – Summers on the Aegean

This part of the world fascinates me! It is, for me, one of the best places I have ever found to spend the summer. It is not too hot and there is always a very refreshing breeze, especially if it comes from the Aegean Sea.
And here I leave you a reminder of the first part: Summers in Turkey, but on the Aegean Coast!
Gracias…
Cheers…

If the sea, immense and powerful can stop and surrender before a thin strip of sand,
I too can surrender before your power,
but it isn’t me, I’ve got no power, you are the sea, and me, a simple grain of sand.

I had the privilege of being in Chios (Greece) for the feast day of Aya Markella, Saint and martyr of the faith. These photos are of the place of her martyrdom.

This is the northwest coast of the island, close to the locality of Volissos where Aya Markella was born in the XIV C. For me visiting this site every time I am on the island is a spiritual pilgrimage.

This one is what they call a «metal print», (see it here), but there are also other ways to display this fine art print called «Surreal Dancer» as well as other images in my virtual galleries there. Fine Art America takes care of the entire transaction and the shipping.
And, as I have been doing, here is a little more from my vaults:

Sometimes I think that cats are the wisest and best prepared animals to confront people and the world. And I hope dog lovers can excuse me, but cats are superior animals. Although we’ve domesticated them, they still have that instinct to be wild, although not around their masters.
This is my Turkish cat Odín. Named, well named after Odin that Nordic god…

This is what is called a «canvas print» it gives the impression of a painting as the image is impressed directly on to a special canvas. This is now part of my collection here, at this fine and reputable company. Fine Art America takes control of the entire purchase and shipping. You can also take a look at my other images in my virtual gallery here.
I think I will include this video from long ago with more of my jazz-art and other works:
