Bueno, se puede decir que el 2023 acaba de comenzar, pero ya van los días, y los meses, volando. Estoy utilizando diferentes maneras de llegar a encontrar lo que busco y desarrollando un poco más el «JaZzArt» y el «Surreal-expresionismo.» Pero bueno, esto es ahora, en marzo, quien sabe lo que he de encontrar en septiembre. Además tengo una exposición aquí en la ciudad en octubre…

Well, it could be said that 2023 has just begun, but the days and the months are flying by… I am using different ways to find what I am looking for and developing further my «JaZzArt» and my «Surreal-Expressionism.» But that’s now, in March, who knows what I will find in September. One more thing, I have a big exhibition here in town in October…

the beer is flowing,
the smiles are growing,
the laughter and the cheers!
Oh! What a lovely day to be right here!

Here…
I know, it doesn’t look like home,
or much of a home…
I know,
yes, I’m quite aware,
there’s rubbish everywhere…
But here’s where I’m remembering the things I used to do,
the happy way I sang and danced
when it was me and you…

When it was us who raised our glasses,
when it was us who called the feast,
when you and I,
would celebrate
each day,
each happy day,
each blessed day,
but now they don’t exist.

Yet here I am remembering as I look upon a crowd
of happy people, dancing, singing,
laughing all around…

Hoy quiero felicitar a todos los padres. Es día de San Jose, el patron santo de los carpinteros que han construido nuestras fabulosas fallas aquí en Valencia y dia del padre. Así que aunque algunos por ahí, especialmente en algunas escuelas, quieran decir que el día de los padres no es importante recordar, pues si que los es y mucho, porque no hemos salido de un huevo, hemos venido de madre y padre, que es la única combinación que puede procrear. Y que le enseñen a los críos que igual que la madre es muy importante, el padre lo es también.

Bueno, dejadme aclarar que Picasso jamás fue pintor abstracto ni pintó nunca una abstracción, siempre fue figurativo y clásico. En cambio, Kandinsky, que comenzó siendo figurativo, terminó siendo conocido como el padre de la abstracción. Aunque fue uno de los primeros, junto a Piet Mondrian, que teorizó sobre este estilo de arte, ya sabemos que un poco antes que él, en 1906, la pintora Hilma af Klint (1862-1944) ya había pintado una gran cantidad de cuadros abstractos. Debido a que dejó dicho que no se podían exponer hasta 20 años después de su muerte, los cuadros no se vieron hasta 1986, cuando el Guggenheim Museum de EEUU, los exhibió.

Vamos a ver que decia Picasso sobre el arte abstract y sobre el arte en general…

Picasso dijo: «El pintor no pinta lo que ve, sino que lo que siente, lo que se dice a si mismo sobre lo que ha visto.« Claro, el caso es que Picasso esta frase y lo que conlleva este pensamiento, lo dirigía hacia la pintura figurativa exclusivamente porque de la abstracción dijo, «No hay arte abstracto. Siempre debes empezar con algo. Después puedes eliminar todos los rastros de la realidad. ¿Quién ve correctamente el rostro humano: el fotógrafo, el espejo o el pintor?»

Y ¿Qué dijo Wassily Kandinsky? Pues dijo que «Toda obra de arte es hija de su tiempo, y con frecuencia es madre de nuestros sentimientos.» Y del arte abstracto añadió que, «Para el artista la importancia del efecto que la obra cause en la sensibilidad del que la contempla es el objeto final de su arte; busca una conmoción emocional a través del color y formas puras como el círculo, el triángulo y el cuadrado, pudiendo llegar esta sensación hasta el alma.» Además definió la abstracción como «el intento de no representar las cosas como son en la realidad, y utilizar lineas, formas, colores y texturas para representar el significado de la obra y las emociones.»

Well our fair city is in the midst of its greatest yearly celebration, «Les Falles» which ends on the night of Saint Joseph with the burning of the ninots. It’s been a wild celebration this year and one of the biggest in attracting tourists in the history of Falles. Great! Our city is getting quite noticed…

Turning my head to other things, being as how the rest of the country, or Europe, or the world does not stand still for Falles as we do… I have seen the destruction caused by rioters in France as they fight the government. Apparently their retirement age is going up from 62 to 64. Oh those poor French workers, I really sympathise! No!!! No way do I sympathise! I am sick and tired of Europeans who don’t want to work but want to live a full, happy, pleasant and wealthy life!

Another thing that amazes me is that now I have heard that schools, here in the Kingdom (Spain) want to eliminate Father’s Day! What!?!?!?

Yes! School authorities think that it might hurt sensibilities as now there are many types of families which are totally different from a family composed of Mother, Father, children.

Now I am not opposed to any family or any combinations that ultimately will compose the family that raises and nourishes children, but all of us cone from a Mother and a Father, the mother did not lay us like an egg.

So if Father’s Day traumatises, eliminate it but also get rid of Mother’s Day, Women’s Day, Easter, Christmas, New Year’s and all other festivities as rhey can…and do…traumatise people.

OK! This world is going to hell in a handbasket anyways, after all, didn’t they eliminate God from schools?

Time to order some olives to have with my wine…

«Ballroom Blitz» has been covered by many others and used in numerous films et cetera. I think it kicks arse and I like it, although you may not… It was written by Nicky Chinn and Mike Chapman.

Released in 1973 by the British «glam rock» group The Sweet. The song deals with an incident they experienced in a concert in Scotland where they were driven off the stage by a bottling.
