ASK
Did I hear you right? Did you really say that I can ask and that you will give me whatever I want?
So my friend, then I’d say give me a rainbow. No!
Instead, give me a magic tornado, one that would sweep from the earth all the ugliness, all the misfortunes, all the pain, suffering, disease.
A storm with a magic broom to sweep away everything that we’re afraid of. Let it’s flash floods, instead of destruction, wash away the sadness, wash away the pain, so that after the rain we can smile and forget all our hardships.
+++
This poem does not imply that the damages caused by tornadoes are valuable and good, instead it refers to the idea of a cleansing storm that would only wipe from our midst negative things and leave all the good people and good things unharmed. It is figurative and most certainly not literal.
Thank you.

I have always been fascinated… No, not by Joan Miró, but by the fame he has achieved… It has always been a mystery to me and I would really like to know what people see in his paintings, of course, those people that actually like them. I have the impression that if it hadn’t been for his family, who knew a lot of important people and had connections…and money…and who organized and opened the Joan Miró Foundation, no one would remember Joan today… And they had to open a foundation, I mean, where else would they put all those paintings?

I even made a video of this artist. What do you think?
(2022)
¿Fenomenales, no?

Here are the three that I like the most… Phenomenal, aren’t they? You can tell that Joan put a lot of effort into them, even to find a suitable title, well maybe not and he just called them Blue Immersion.

Gracias…

If you’re a fan of Joan Miró, if you consider him a great painter, and you are fascinated by his paintings, tell me, explain them to me because I can’t make heads or tails of them. And I’m not talking about Miró the guy, he probably would have been a kind and friendly person, I didn’t know him. I simply limit myself to criticizing his artistic work exclusively.

I remember watching a speech by George W. Bush and the part that stuck in my brain was his condemnation of «conspiracy theories.» Take a look/listen:
Before that, well before the attacks on 11 SEP 2001, I had never really thought about such things as conspiracy theories. But I did start thinking about them since then. It seemed to me the proper thing to do because the «official» story was so outrageous…
I am an artist. I believe in non-linear thinking. I believe in fantasy. I am anti-logic and I question all things, especially those «things» deemed «official» in any capacity. I still believe in God. I reject the fad, or the thought that creative people have to be atheists or commies. I am liberal-minded but definitely a Right Winger. I don’t care if the «official story» comes from La Moncloa, (seat of Spanish elected government), Downing Street, (seat of British elected government), The White House (seat of elected US government, although some may deny it), or the WHO, (seat of supposed experts that lied to us about COVID-19), if one of their so-called «experts» is telling me the «truth.» I tend to doubt it, or more than likely, I do not believe it.
So I guess I am a conspiracy theorist, according to those who would deny me the right to question their absolute and unquestionable authority. Not! As a student of something they no longer teach (History), I know that conspiracies have always existed. Some very elaborate, others not so, but the government has always lied, whether it was a Sultan, a Pharaoh, a King or a bloody Minister or MP.
So I invite you to prove things for yourselves. Take a look at the Internet. One has to wonder why has the internet shrunk since the 1990’s! Why has Google controlled most…if not all…the content one can have access to? Why are bots regulating what is placed on YouTube et cetera? Why? Why? Why? Why are algorhithms deciding what is and what is not free speech? Or are they? Could it be that they are taking directions from those who would control our thoughts, our language and our communication?
Wasn’t there a case, very recently, in the US state of Florida where a school principal was fired because she showed a picture of Michelangelo’s «David?» The puritans argued it was pornography!!! How backwards can you get??? And how crazy! The «David», a religious figure, was banned! Those are usually the ones saying people like me are «conspiracy theorists» because we talk about the truth, and the facts, only the facts…
There used to be so much more content just a few years ago in the internet, now most of that content has been «disappeared» from places such as YouTube or other platforms. I used to research my «conspiracy theories» all the time and now all I see are videos «debunking» conspiracies. Why?
I know, dear Diary, that a lot of readers (if they have read the article) are going to say that I am simply bonkers and that I perhaps should attend to more important things. Naturally, because the majority believes what the media (press, TV news, newspapers or internet sites) tells them. They do not question anything. They prefer to believe some outrageous theory, just because it comes from a government source and is deemed «official» than a supposed «conspiracy theory» that closely aligns with something more realistic…
I wonder what they all think out there. I don’t know, so please let me know what you think. Of course in a civilised manner.

«The Spirits of Jazz» represents something new here at OCS Valencia. I have painted the artwork on a canvas measuring 100 x 70 cm using acrylic paint. On the left side of the composition, we see the figure of a woman, seemingly a dancer, preparing to dance a modern piece accompanied by free jazz. On the right-hand side, we see the «spirits» of Jazz playing for her, lending their creativity and talent, allowing her to transform her movements into a fluid and artistic poem…

The rhythm of a thousand feet, walking, running, shuffling, dancing, syncopated, gravitated, elongated and even at times refined, they disappear and end as echoes that suddenly reach the third floor, but shadows from the street lamps reach much further.
They penetrate the eyes that keep watch of our memories and there evaporate and thus become the substance of dreams…
The blue lights and the red are on the top, reflectors all around, within, a beating heart, a brother, sister, husband, wife, a father, mother, friend, who when you’re in your parties having fun is walking in the rain, alone and thinking of the ones he loves,
But on his beat he does remain, so you can drink in peace tonight while they are in their cars with blue lights on the roof, and red, willing, able and ready to make of this blessed holiday also a peaceful night…
I wrote this poem two and a half years ago on Christmas Eve, thinking of all the Christmas Eves, Christmas Days, New Years et cetera that I had to work and that my brothers and sisters did too…
To all of them, in uniform and in plain clothes, may God bless and protect them…
