Convince me that a rainbow is not an act of God.
Convince me that Love is not His nature and you’ve convinced me that I don’t exist.
Reasons can’t disturb my faith.

Faith saved us from the savages that we were, losing faith makes us savages again

Convince me that a rainbow is not an act of God.
Convince me that Love is not His nature and you’ve convinced me that I don’t exist.
Reasons can’t disturb my faith.

Well, we are the third largest city of Spain and we have much to offer. There is much to see and great food to eat. We are cool. In Spanish or Valencian (our native tongue) we know you will like it here…

Yes, here he sits possibly next to his sculpture «Io sono» (I am) that sold for 15.000 euros! This Italian «conceptual artist» claims that he sculpts in areas of air that are filled with energy. And of course, like most conceptual artists his work are described by strange and convoluted explanations. In his case he affirms that he has sold a vacuum filled with energy and a series of other stupidities that I will not repeat. What I do think is that this is another «artistic» way of laundering money. I don’t know for sure, but it does make one think and also wonder who was the one…or ones…who purchased this «immaterial» sculpture. Yet, in light of so many things that I have seen that pass as «art» it is not surprising that somebody…a talent-less artist…came up with the ingenious idea of selling invisible sculptures.
And should you want to know more about Signore Salvatore Garau, I would suggest that you google him because I will not waste another word on him.

Let’s start by saying that he was over sixty years old and she was 21 when they met in Paris… Picasso was already a famous painter and Françoise aspired to be one… their relationship lasted ten years and produced two children, Claude (1947) and Paloma (1949)… She was the first and only woman who left him… And although there are now stupid things being said about Picasso in the feminist realms, let it be known that none of his women ever complained about him and that his place in art history is irreplaceable…

An offensive in a war is right and justified it it is done to further the campaign or to secure those who were trapped behind enemy lines. An offensive that targets civilians is not right and not justified. That is the classical definition of a war crime. The Israeli government, under a madman, is intent on seeking peace by annihilating the enemy. In other words they think that peace can only be had when there are no longer any more Palestinians. Those are the thoughts of a criminal mind. I know that we must allow for Israel to defend itself, and yes, Israel has many enemies, but what it is now doing is not defending itself, it is more akin to a genocide, and that cannot be tolerated.
I support Israel, always have. I have admired their ability to survive surrounded by those who want to destroy the Jewish state. I supported this war for many months. But now that they have cut off the head of the terrorist snake that had orchestrated such evil, I find it impossible to continue to support their attacks. Yes, those people in Palestine, Lebanon, Syria, Egypt and Jordan, might not be the nicest neighbours, but they have every right to live and to be whatever they want to, just like the Israelis. If there is to be peace there has to be coexistence.
Well, that is all for now, dear diary. Maybe tomorrow things will be different…

She was born in Los Angeles but spent most of her life in Mexico. Rosa was a dancer, choreographer, costume designer, photographer and a painter. She was also an art collector.
Rosemonde Cowan Ruelas, (1895-1970) better known as Rosa Rolanda, began studying dance at an early age, but in 1928, during a stay in Paris, she became interested in painting. Her influences were varied and ranged from post-revolutionary (Mexican) to surrealism. Her paintings are mostly of women, especially indigenous women from America. She also did several self-portraits and various portraits of famous persons. Two of her most famous ones are of the Mexican actresses Dolores del Río in 1938) and María Félix in 1945. She did some sketches for a portrait of Frida Kahlo although I am not sure if she ever did the actual painting.
