Life in art and about art is something that I have had the privilege to have lived and living with gratitud and with great motivation. I learned, even from youth, the love of art. I have been painting professionally for more than a quarter of a century and still going strong with no intentions of stopping, as long as the Good Lord will have me. I live in different places and the light, the spirit, the energy of each place creates its own palette and I flow with that light. After all I do Jazz-Art and as with Jazz music, one must improvise…
Here is some of my earlier works and as well one of my earlier songs…

These are from 2025 and actually some earlier (2023/24). This year I have been working on many projects and although I have been painting as usual, the production has been a little less than other years, but… it is only mid-year.
This year we, (Omnia Caelum Studios Valencia/VALENCIARTIST), have a major exhibition at one of our beautiful museums in the city of València, (Sala d’Exposicions de Ciutat Vella), commencing on the 9th of October at 1900 hours. We will be exhibiting paintings, drawings and poetry, as well as GAB’s beautifully, artistically crafted, hand painted bottles (see Instagram: @guloshka). So it is a big project and I will be featuring some new works that have never before been exhibited. We are inviting, and expecting art lovers and collectors from all of Europe as well as from America and the rest of the world.
And here are some of the works we have sold and that we still have available at this time (July) of the year 2025…

Perhaps he was a mystic, or even a kind of prophet, I do not know and cannot argue that point. All I know is that I have always greatly admired his poetic work and his paintings as well, which he did hundreds of them. He was a phenomenon and with good reason.
His book The Prophet, which contains 26 prose poems was published in 1923. The poems are like sermons delivered by a wise man of a long ago and far away place. Since 1923 The Prophet has sold much more than nine million copies, and that is in the English language, American edition alone.
Gibran was born in Bisharri, Lebanon of a Maronite Catholic family in 1883. Kahlil was a poet, a writer, a painter and an essayist. He relocated, together with most of his family, to Boston. From 1904 to 1910 he lived in Paris, joining the avant-guarde artists and poets and enjoying the bohemian lifestyle common of the era. Broken Wings was his first book, published in 1912 after he had moved to New York. He lived in New York with his wife until the day he died in 1931. He was forty eight years of age.
A very popular quote from Kahlil comes from his book Sand and Foam of 1926: «Half of what I say is meaningless, but I say it so that the other may reach you.» John Lennon sort of modified that phrase in the song «Julia«, (Half of what I say is meaningless/But I say it just to reach you, Julia – Lennon/McCartney). David Bowie also mentioned Gibran in «The Width Of a Circle«, from his album The Man Who Sold The World (1970), (So we asked a simple black bird, who was happy as can be/Well he laughed insane and quipped «KAHLIL GIBRAN» – David Bowie).
Here are some of his paintings…

I am very happy to announce the start of the mini-series «Art History in One Minute (videos). So far I have published on VALENCIARTIST part 1, which was dedicated to a great painter from the art vanguards of the 20th Century, Gustav Klimt. Part 2 will air soon and it is about a contemporary artist, Gerhard Richter. Part 3 will venture back to the 16th Century to feature Sofonisba Anguissola and that will air soon as well. I am trying to produce one for every day until we reach our conclusion. At the moment I am thinking about 10 artists from different times in the history of the world and the history of art. If you would like to suggest favourite artists, I would gladly consider creating a video for them. Let me know…

Welcome to part 4 of this mini-series «Art History in One Minute (videos)» created right here at Omnia Caelum Studios Valencia. We will explore, in minimalist fashion, but providing enough information, ten artists from different times in Art History…
CARAVAGGIO
Truly the enfant terrible of the Baroque, but a most important painter in Art History. His influence was felt throughout the coming years especially among some of the great masters like Peter Paul Rubens, Bernini and Rembrandt, and probably many others.
I think you will like and enjoy this edition of «Art History in One Minute (videos)». These are the artists that shaped either the «good» or the «bad» in the history of art.
