La araña «Maman» de Louise Bourgeoise se vendió por 40 millones de dólares… «The Witch«/»La bruja» de Dorothea Tanning se vendió por 415.000 dólares… Aún así, no llegan a venderse los precios a los que se venden…y se han vendido…los cuadros de los artistas masculinos y yo no entiendo el porque. Pero lo que si sé es que estas dos artistas fenomenales han aportado grandes cuadros a la historia del arte y hay que conocerlas mejor. Two of the great women artists of the 20th century. The spider «Maman» by Louise Bourgeois sold for 40 million dollars… «The Witch» by Dorothea Tanning sold for 415,000 dollars… Still, the prices don’t come close to those at which male artists’ paintings are sold and I don’t understand why. But what I do know is that these two phenomenal artists have contributed great paintings to the history of art and we need to understand them better.
