#art, SO SAY THE «ARTISTS»

(Original work by Francisco Bravo Cabrera/All Rights Reserved)

Sometimes artists speak like «normal» people but most of the time they speak like «artists» are supposed to. They mention things in relation to the art they create or the philosophy behind art and other such trascendental stuff. So, here are some of the stuff that one of the most famous artists of the Twentieth Century (and beyond) supposedly said:

Talk to us Salvador Dalí… (like I said I cannot guarantee he said any of these things as I did not hear him):

«A true artist is not one who is inspired but one who inspires others.»

«There are some days that I think I am going to die from an overdose of satisfaction.»

«Each morning when I awake I experience again a supreme pleasure, that of being Salvador Dalí.»

«I am Surrealism.»

«Have no fear of perfection, you will never reach it.»

«Those who do not want to imitate anything produce nothing.»

«I don’t do drugs; I am drugs.»

Well feast on these pearls of wisdom, or whatever they are. But it is how an artist is supposed to speak, or is it?

I like the first comment, but for me a true artist is one who lets hie paint brush do the talking rather than his tongue.
