The right to protest is contingent upon acquiring the appropriate permission and that the protest be and remain always peaceful. This is not what we are seeing take place in the unis in the US. Violent clashes with the police forfeit their protests and make me think that these are not real «students» raising their voices and exercising their right to express themselves. I wonder whose money is behind these «spontaneous» protests in US universities. And I also wonder why the universities should put up with such activities. After all, aren’t these places for the acquisition of knowledge? Are they not houses of higher learning? When do these «students» actually study? Camping out as a sign of protest seems like an incredible way to waste valuable time. And no, US President Biden will not change his position on assistance to Israel because Israel, although these «students» don’t want to see it, is the victim. Israel was attacked, brutally and mercilessly and it’s citizens, as well as those of other countries are still being held by the terrorist group Hamas. Why are there no protests against those cruel and uncivilised actions? So, in conclusion, I do not buy it. These «protestors» are having us on big time. And it is about time that the press call them what they are, agitators and agents provocateurs.

Why indeed are there NOT protests against Hamas? No credibility to the protests, and it is time sympathizers wake up to the crimes being committed by Hamas against the WORLD.

A pogrom is a violent riot incited with the aim of massacring or expelling an ethnic or religious group, particularly Jews. The term entered the English language from Russian to describe 19th- and 20th-century attacks on Jews in the Russian Empire (mostly within the Pale of Settlement).
Both sides (Palestine and Israel) may both be guilty of programs against the other–October 7 was definitely an attack against Israel and Jewish settlers encroaching on Palestinian land, with the tacit approval of the Israeli government have been returning the favor for several years.

Palestinian land? Israel is simply defending itself from countless terrorist groups determined to destroy them.

From the Internet (which as we both know may not be an unbiased source)
In 1947, the UN General Assembly voted in favour of partitioning Palestine between Jews and Palestinians. Yet after the 1948 war, only 22 percent was left for the Palestinians: the West Bank and Gaza Strip. This remaining 22 percent was later occupied by Israel in 1967.

Hasn’t that always been Israel?

This website shows the transition in Israel from 1947 through 2023. I tend to trust the BBC (at least in this case) . https://www.bbc.com/news/world-middle-east-54116567

Growth is progress, just like the US grew under the Manifest Destiny doctrine. Those lands were always part of the nation of Israel.

Está guerra lleva varios años y hasta la fecha, se ve poco probable que tenga solución. Si no es cuestión religiosa, es territorial. Siempre habrá un motivo para iniciarla y entonces seguiremos contando muertos. Saludos Francisco

They are saying most arrested in NYC are not even students at the unis in question. I think the tipping point was breaking into a building. It should have occurred earlier. They are claiming these are peaceful yet they went remote at Columbia because they were harassing Jewish students and threatening them. Non Jewish students even complained they felt unsafe. They deactivated a Jewish professors key card so he could not access his work building because the uni could not guarantee his safety. Obviously not a peaceful protest. A protestor who broke into the building complained in an interview through a window that the police through three protestors down the stairs and they were hurt. No protestors were hurt when they retook the building. No evidence either anyone was.

Yes, I heard about the non-students, posing as student protesters. Most, I would say are professional agitators and provocateurs. I cannot imagine serious students engaging in such a negative endeavour. Thank you.
