El jazz es considerado como la música clásica de Norte America, específicamente de Estados Unidos. Surgió al principio del S. XX en Nueva Orleans, Louisiana. Algunos de los grandes de las primeras épocas fueron Joe Oliver y Louis Armstrong. Creo que todos conocéis la historia…

A mi, amante de la música desde ni niñez, el jazz me pareció cosa non grata, al principio, pero ahora, es todo para mi. Es la música MUSICA, pura y poderosa. Cuando comencé a pintar, me inspiré en el Jazz, porque el Jazz se hace así: se comienza con una frase, un acorde, una tonada; se improvisa sobre esos temas; el musico compone según va atravesando las sendas que toca mientras improvisa.

Esos tres factores lo he aplicado a mi trabajo artístico, de una manera u otra…

For me, a lover of music since my early days, Jazz did not at first appeal to me. But now, it is my everything! My music of MUSIC, pure and very powerful. When I started painting I was inspired with Jazz, because Jazz is like this: It starts off with a musical phrase, a chord, a combination of sounds, then you improvise over that and with that, and the musician is also the composer, as he creates as he plays his improvisations and variations.
